Changelog
Every StyleLift version, newest first. StyleLift isn’t in the browser stores yet. Once it is, updates arrive through your browser’s store and keep your license, trial and settings.
1.1.0 States, breakpoints, variables
October 2026 · for Chrome, Edge and Safari
- Copies include the element’s own
:hover, :focus and :active rules, and its @media and @container variants, so pasted components still react and stay responsive.
- CSS variables stay variables, with the value beside them:
color: var(--brand); /* #3b5bfd */. Or switch to plain values.
- Copy as CSS rules, an inline
style="" attribute or a React JSX style object, with colors in hex, rgb or hsl. Choose in the panel (⚙) or on the options page.
- The copy is the element’s normal state, even while your pointer is on it, and the panel shows exactly what is copied.
- Modern CSS is read like the browser reads it:
@layer, nesting, @supports, @container and @scope. Styles added after StyleLift opened are picked up too.
- Stylesheets another domain won’t let StyleLift read are flagged in the panel, and widths are measured so the copy keeps its size.
- Fast on pages with very large stylesheets; long values such as embedded images are shortened in the panel, never in the copy.
- If a site blocks the clipboard, StyleLift copies from a window of its own (a tab in Safari) that the site can’t touch.
- Colors written as
oklch(), lab() or color() follow your hex, rgb or hsl choice too.
- Security: copied CSS and HTML can no longer carry a page’s script into the page you paste them into.
- Web pages never get your license key. License checks time out after 15 seconds with a clear message, and the trial counts correctly even if the clock changes.
- Requires Chrome or Edge 114, or Safari 17, or later.
