Privacy policy

Short version: StyleLift doesn’t collect, store or sell information about you or the pages you inspect. The only thing that ever leaves your device is your license key, and only to activate or re-check a purchase.

What StyleLift does on your device

• It runs only on the tab where you click the StyleLift button or press its shortcut (Alt Shift C).
• It reads the styles and HTML of the element you point at, so it can show and copy them. That stays in your browser, and goes to your clipboard only when you choose to copy. If a page blocks the clipboard, Chrome and Edge copy from a small StyleLift window instead; the text is kept in memory only until it’s copied.
• It saves your copy settings, the date your trial started and, if you buy a license, your license key, in your browser’s local extension storage. Web pages can’t read it.

Permissions

activeTab

Lets StyleLift read the current tab, and only after you click its button or press its shortcut. No access to other tabs or your history.

scripting

Adds the inspector and its panel to that tab when you open StyleLift.

storage

Keeps your copy settings, the trial start date and your license key on your device.

Lemon Squeezy (optional)

Chrome and Edge ask for access to api.lemonsqueezy.com only when you activate a license, so StyleLift can verify the key.

None of these shows an install warning, and StyleLift asks for no access to the websites you visit.

Chrome and Microsoft Edge: license checks

When you activate a license, StyleLift sends your license key and a label for this browser (for example “StyleLift · Chrome · macOS”) to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record, to confirm the purchase. While a license is active, StyleLift re-checks it about once a week. You can deactivate it on the options page at any time, which frees that browser’s place on your license.

Lemon Squeezy processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. StyleLift never sees your card details.

Safari

StyleLift for Safari is a paid app from the Mac App Store. It has no license system and sends no data at all.

What we never do

• No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or third-party SDKs.
• No collecting or selling of browsing history, page content or personal information.
• No remote code: everything StyleLift runs ships inside the extension.

This website

getstylelift.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts and loads nothing from other sites. Cloudflare, which hosts it, handles the usual request data (such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the page that linked to it) to deliver the pages and protect the site. From that data Cloudflare shows us totals, such as daily visitors and their countries; we never see who you are. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show us how often this site appears in their search results; they add nothing to these pages.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling StyleLift deletes everything it stored on your device. To free a browser’s place on your license first, deactivate it on the options page. For anything else, write to support@getstylelift.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
